The Creyke Beck electricity sub-station at the back-end of Cottingham is surrounded by fields of rape on the southern & western sides, and lines of parked / unoccupied caravans to the north. It is accessed by a single narrow road. Footpaths create 3 other entry points. I was once chased by a probably friendly but rather scary looking absolutely vicious Labrador which was guarding the gate to a small dairy farm situated at the end of one of the paths… I haven’t been back along that route since.
